Environmental Health
Environmental Health consultations are typically requested when employers, insurers, legal counsel, community groups, or private individuals require a research-based, independent opinion concerning an environmental health issue. REOH coordinates with interdisciplinary teams including occupational & environmental medicine, industrial hygienist, epidemiology, toxicology and legal specialists. Together we can quickly and accurately perform the research needed for virtually any environmental health issue.

Environmental Health Consultation Services
Our staff will arrange any of the following services, as appropriate to the situation.
• Design and administration of environmental health assessment questionnaires
• Laboratory analysis of blood and/or urine
• Pulmonary function testing
• Skin patch testing (for cases of presumed environmental allergies)
• Neuropsychological testing (for cases of presumed environmental nervous system disorders)
• Industrial hygiene air and surface contamination sampling
• Population-based surveys (for cases of illness clusters)
• Environmental law consultations
• Epidemiological studies of populations

Requesting Environmental Health Services
1. Request an Environmental Health consultation by calling REOH at 406-549-6520.
2. Following the initial consultation, the scope of the project is discussed and an estimate of required time, personnel resources, and costs is written and submitted to the requesting party.
3. All pertinent records must be received two calendar weeks prior to the scheduled on-site visit.
4. At least a one hour visit by REOH'S consulting team is required. Typically, four to eight hours are required to perform an initial investigation. In these cases, a retainer agreement is usually be arranged.

Reporting an Environmental Health Consultation
• Environmental Health consultation reports will be completed no more than two weeks following the completion of the investigation.
• A bound original of the report, signed by the REOH team, will be mailed to the requesting party along with the final invoice for the environmental health consultation.
