John C. Schumpert, M.D., M.P.H. is the founder and medical director of Resources for Environmental and Occupational Health, Inc. He is residency trained (University of Minnesota) and board certified in occupational and environmental medicine. He has experience in all areas of occupational and environmental medicine including the academic, government, corporate, hospital and private sectors.
Dr. Schumpert 's primary experience and training are in the fields of occupational toxicology and environmental health, with areas of special expertise that include dermal and pulmonary toxicants, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, occupational epidemiology, and neurotoxicology. In addition, he has experience in the areas of occupational health policy, employment law, Americans with Disabilities Act issues, biological monitoring and medical surveillance program design and implementation. Dr. Schumpert has directed and continues to work on large projects staffed by multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, managers, and healthcare professionals. Dr. Schumpert is involved in teaching and ongoing research efforts as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Montana Center for Environmental Health Sciences.
